Contest #2 is less than 2 weeks away.
Well done folks. We are off to an incredible start. The highest 10 scores are used for calculating the whole team's place among all Math Olympiad teams.
The two 5th grade teams scored 49/50 and 48/50 for the top 10 scores! Almost half received perfect scores and are in the running for the Dr. George Lenchner Award (given for 5 contests of perfect scores). What?! The two 4th grade teams scored an average of 3.1 and 3.9 correct, with 3 perfect scores, for the top 10 scores. Wow! We had perfect attendance for the first Olympiad. All mathletes should be proud of their efforts. It is all about them, learning new problem solving strategies and an enjoyment or at least confidence in math. Now that the first contest is out of the way, the next contests will go more smoothly and more in sync. Thanks for all that you do for our kids! -- David A.
